New brush for cleaning gas BBQs designed

14/10/2010 Gas BBQ owners looking for a greener way to clean their model, may be interested in a new product developed by a Canadian company.

Created by Helidon Inc, the BioBrush is made from 100 per cent natural fibres and is said to be a safer way of cleaning a gas BBQ.

The brush doesn't contain any plastic or metal and is recyclable. The natural fibres also prevent damage to the grill, which could be scratched if a metal brush is used.

"BioBrush is definitely the first of its kind grill accessory," the engineering team said.

According to the company, the brush removes the risk of metal fibres "getting pinned to the meat on the grill".

"Now we have the confidence that we won't jeopardise our health while enjoying our meal. And these natural fibres don't damage the porcelain surfaces, so the grill stays shiny as new," it added.

A top tip for cleaning a gas BBQ, is to remove excess food almost immediately after cooking while the grill is still warm, Inger Fountain, writing for EzineMark.com, explained recently. ADNFCR-3488-ID-800116461-ADNFCR
