Jamie Oliver explains how to make marinated chicken kebabs to cook on the BBQ

14/09/2010 Jamie Oliver has revealed how to make tasty marinated chicken kebabs to cook on a BBQ.

According to the celebrity chef, if you are cooking for a group of friends, or for a party, "these kebabs will do the trick. They are so easy to make and damn tasty".

Marinated in a blend of spices, the kebabs can be cooked on a BBQ or chargrilled.

After cutting 500g of chicken breasts into cubes, strips of courgette should be blanched in salted boiling water and allowed to cool.

The marinade ingredients – coriander, mint, garlic, spring onions, red chilli, lemon zest and juice, salt, pepper and olive oil – should be blitzed in a food processor and added to the chicken pieces.

After allowing to sit for an hour, the courgette pieces should be weaved between the chicken pieces on skewers and grilled for five minutes, turning regularly.
