How do you choose the right gas BBQ?

31/08/2010 With so many models and makes of gas BBQs now available, it is often difficult to decide which is the best for your needs.

And, according to Steven Raichlin, author of Planet Barbecue, there are two different ways to approach buying a new BBQ.

He suggested in an interview with the Miami Herald that people either choose to pay extra for a high-quality material and a long warranty, which could last them for up to a decade, or cheaper models which have to be replaced every couple of years.

"They are both legitimate approaches," he added.

Once you've made the choice to opt for a gas BBQ, you should look for a stainless steel model, Armand Rocco of The Kitchenworks in Fort Lauderdale told the news provider.

"The magnet is the big defining moment. If it's [quality] stainless, a magnet should not stick. If it does stick, it isn't stainless," he explained.

Pipteam.com recently recommended that gas BBQs are best for those with limited time, as they take less time to heat up than their charcoal counterparts.  ADNFCR-3488-ID-800045444-ADNFCR
