Gas BBQs 'help people cater for lots of guests'

04/10/2010 Gas BBQs are ideal if you're catering for large numbers of people, as they offer faster cooking times than their charcoal counterparts, one blog has suggested.

Cooks who choose to grill on a gas BBQ are able to enjoy almost instantaneous heat, which is easily controlled, the Omega Watches Blog explained.

The uniform heat distribution also means that food is cooked at a consistent temperature and is less likely to burn, it explained.

While gas BBQs are often initially more expensive that charcoal grills, they offer lower operating costs in the long run, the blog added.

Once you've cooked your perfect steaks and burgers on your gas BBQ, they are also much easier to clean.

Inger Fountain, writing for, explained that excess food can be cleaned off straight after cooking by using a wire brush.

The grill should then be given a light spray of olive oil to prevent rust, before being cleaned using baking soda and finally wiped with foil to remove the last of the grease, she explained.  ADNFCR-3488-ID-800097206-ADNFCR
