Accasia Aftercare

Our Accasia Garden Furniture is made using only the best grade quality raw materials, kiln dried hardwoods. Accasia Garden Furniture is long lasting and durable. It is however, still necessary, to look after your garden furniture by giving it some care and maintenance.

Timber naturally deteriorates over many years due to exposure to the elements but with good maintenance and protection you can extend its lifespan significantly. We recommend that all wooden garden furniture is covered or stored away before the onset of winter.

Your furniture will be pre-treated and we recommend that all surfaces should be given further regular applications of a good quality teak oil or quality hardwood protector.

The grain on all hardwoods can open, or lift causing slight roughness, if this does occur then we suggest that the timber is allowed to dry thoroughly and is then lightly sanded with glass paper before being treated with teak oil or wood treatment oils.

Hardwoods can turn silver grey or black in certain atmospheric conditions and if you find this unacceptable we suggest it is cleaned off and lightly sanded, before giving an application of one of the many hardwood protectors that are available.
